About UtilOwl

UtilOwl is a set of free tools that run in your browser: hardware tests, calculators, converters, and generators. No signup, no install, and nothing you type or record ever leaves your device.

Why I built it

I'm Sarthak, and I built UtilOwl for a loop you probably know. A small job comes up, you find a tool for it, and the tool wants an account, an upload, or a subscription before it does anything. Every tool here is the version I wanted to find. It loads fast, it does the one job, and the job happens on your machine.

How the tools work

Each tool is a static page with a small amount of JavaScript that does its work in your browser. Your text, files, camera, and microphone stay in the tab. You can check this yourself: view the page source and you see the whole tool, and using it triggers no upload. The privacy policy spells out the two cookie-free analytics counters that do run.

How the site is made

The tools are written with heavy AI assistance, then reviewed, tested, and shipped by me. AI drafts the code. The decisions, the tests, and the accountability are mine. If a tool gets something wrong, that is my bug, and I want to hear about it.
